Salah El-Din Citadel is located in the “Citadel” district and it has been built by sultan al-Kamil bin al-Adel as Salah el-Din died before finishing it. The citadel is distinctive by its stunning architectural design. It also contains a number of doors such as the Mokattam door (the mountain door), the new door, the runway door, and the door of the Janissaries.
